I've got my 1018p booting osx, win7, and kubuntu right now.
Have osx working at 10.6.6
So far I've got wifi working, as well as usb/card reader.
Used Netbook Installer 0.8.5 pre method.
Still having trouble with booting from chameleon off the internal drive, but i have a temporary fix where I'm booting chameleon on my SD card.

thanks for the quick answer. so are you saying there was no special kext required?
Furthermore i always break my system when I install the update combo 10.6.6.
Even if i run the netbook installer 0.8.5, the system stopps booting at a certain stage. Any idea how to overcome this issue?

Also realized that the webcam is not working as well as bluetooth.

Regards, Synkronizer

I really admire those who post that they have done a successful install.

How about some specifics about what kexts worked or better what install method you used and what kexts to install.

Any guides?

thanks

I'm trying to install lion on the "brother" of 1018p...the other 1018p (dualcore)

On the "Compatibility Chart" 1018p is supposed to be natively Mac OS X runner...hope it's a real data :S

Hardware Specs:

Model: 1018P

Processor: Intel Atom N550 1.50 GHz x2
Ram: 1 GB / 2 GB (max) DDR2
Hard Drive: 250 GB - 5400 rpm SATA
Display: 10.1-inch (1024 x 600)
Graphics: Intel GMA 3150 integrated
Audio: Integrated
Hard Drive: 250GB SATA
Webcam: 0.3 megapixel integrated
Card Reader: multi-card reader
LAN: 10/100 LAN
Wireless: 802.11 b/g/n WiFi
Battery: 6-cell (44W/h) up to 10 hours per charge

Interfaces:
1 x Hi-Speed USB 2.0
2 x Hi-Speed USB 3.0
1 x VGA
1 x Audio - Input
1 x Audio - Output
1 x Network - Gigabit Ethernet
1 x Multi-Card reader (SDHC / SD)

I used the iAtkos L2 DVD "successfully": everything was fine till I rebooted (mouse and keyboard were recognized). Now I need a USB mouse and keyboard!
Is not working:
Wlan
Wi-fi
Trackpad
Keyboard
Sound card
Card reader

Is working:
Boot! (I chose Camaleon)
webcam! (even if it doesn't work properly)
USBs (I don't know the real speed, but I don't care)
Microphone (I suppose, because I can't listening to the rec sound!)

I've no idea on how to fix it...I'll try to re-install all again...
If anyone can help and suggest me which kexts can be used...I'll really apreciate it!

Thanks in advance...
