luckman212
Hi guys, anyone know how to enable write-access to shared folders from Windows hosts to MacOSX guests using vmware? Even though I have checked my vmx and enabled the "read/write" options there & in the gui I still have read-only access to those folders. I googled a lot and It seems related to the way the mount_vmhgfs command handles uid/gid. There's a vmware kb article on this (scroll down to "Can't Write to HGFS Shared Folders" section): http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-7870 But on my macosX 10.6.5 guest, there is no /etc/fstab. Just /etc/fstab.hd which says 'this is a dummy file & does nothing etc etc' So I am lost here, I am sure this is probably a pretty simple fix. Maybe a change to the /Library/Application Support/VMware Tools/services.sh script? thanks for any advice
