Hi guys,,

I have been looking around this website and I liked the idea of (Hackintosh), as I have a MacBook

and I really like the OS,, it is very fast and much better than Windows..

So I decided to install MAC on my PC.

CPU: Intel core 2 due E6600 2.40

MoBo: ASUS P5NSLI (nForce 570)

HDD: WD 500GB sATA

Ram: 8GB PYN

GPU: nVidia 8800GTS PYN

I have found some people that were able to install MAC using the same motherboard, but for me it was not

able to.

I tried several BootLoaders and about 2 patched OSX, I even used my original retail DVD along with all the

BootLoaders I have, but every time I try to install, when getting to the loading page with Apple logo I get

that circle with a line (follow the link to see a screenshot of it)

http://www5.picturepush.com/photo/a/273166...MAC-Problem.bmp

First of all I did not find the AHCI Mode option in Bios, even after using the latest update, so that might be the problem.

Also I was reading a guide which says that it is not possible to install MAC with 8GB of RAM so I reduced it to 4GB

and it did not work so I reduced it to 2GB and the result was the same.

So is there any way to install Mac without the AHCI Mode ??

If not,, is there any way to enable it in my motherboard (No AHCI option in Bios).

Please help me solving this problem, I have been trying to make it work for a week with no improvement.

Hello,, Thanks for your replay guys

sorry about the URL .. I have attached the screenshot.

I have already tried to search for "No AHCI" in this forum but still no solution

Report what happens but also see my nForce Retail Snow Leopard Install Guide....... :(

Hi

I have changed the Bios as you indicated, and when using -v cpus=1 maxmem=2048,

after 5 seconds the display disconnects and I get the "No Signal" in the screen but the PC

is stays on and nothing happens until I turn off the PC.

I did try to read your guide but I am noob and I find it a bit complicated, also my English is not

very good..

I apologise for that but I really need you help fixing this problem... Thanks

Try swapping your display/monitor cable connector onto the other port on your graphics card......also boot with -v -x cpus=1 maxmem=2048 and report what happens.....

If a retail install is too difficult to follow at present, then look at my iATKOS S3 v2 install guide in my blog........... :(

Swapping the cable did not work :D

I downloaded iPC OSx86 and when booting I get

post-702329-1292158118_thumb.jpg

and it keeps saying "Still waiting for root device" over and over :(

I also tried to use iDeneb and iATKOS S3 v2 but some thing goes wrong while burning the ISO files

and it only burns about 10% of the files... Each of those versions is about 4.3GB but when burning them

to a DVD "OR" extracting them using WinRar they become about 10MB and some times just 900KB

So I tried 2 versions of iPC, one was called (iPC OSx86 Universal) and the other (iPC OSx86 intel and AMD), both of them were fine when burning but both gave me the same message

"Still waiting for root device"

I have tried using two hard drives

1st: (500GB SATA with two partitions one NTFS and has Windows 7 and the other is FAT32 for the MAC)

2nd: (80GB IDE "I think it is called IDE,, it is a very old one" and formated as FAT32)

both of them are primary,, The first one is SATA Master,, and the second is Slave.

I tried installing while both of them are connected at the same time, also tried to connect one at a time, still

getting the same message.. :P

It is better to have OS X and Windows 7 on a separate HDD and disconnect the Windows 7 HDD.........have you seen my Leopard and Snow Leopard distro install guides.........?

Do you have a SATA DVDRW or a IDE DVDRW........this is important.........?

I apologies for the delay... I am busy these days.

I will try to install it without the windows

and my DVDRW is IDE, is there any thing that I have to do with the DVDRW before installing ???

Thanks

Your IDE DVDRW should be jumper-set and connected to the MOBO as Master via an 80-wire iDE cable........

OMG it is working !!!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you,

Mr. verdant hehehe :(

iPC OSx86 Universal is the only version working for me..

So I installed it with some drivers.. But there is a problem,,

when I try to boot from the HDD I get the message "/com.apple.Boot.plist not found"

So the only way to boot is using the boot CD and using "rd=disk0s1" in F8..

Now I will re-install it without choosing any driver and I will report what happens.

Once you have booted in OS X, try installing Chameleon 2.0 RC3 using Dr. Hurt's installer on the OS X HDD.....

Hello

Finally,, I managed to install (iAtkos OSx 10.6.3) after about 10 times of Kernel panic,

did it by trying a combination of drivers every time I install..

I had some problems with iPC. Kernel panic when unzipping a compressed file :)

and lots of other problems.

Spent the last 3 hours trying to install the USB wireless adaptor (WUSB600N),, did it :D and I might

write a guide on how to do it.. LOL

now there are no booting problems for both the OS (OSx and Windows 7)

Thank you very much verdant, I wouldn't be able to do it without your help..

now I have 3x 2GB RAMs as spare :)

windows wont let the Ethernet work unless there are only 4GB of ram..

and OSx wont install until there are only 2GB of ram..

What kexts have you installed for SATA/ATA/IDE......?

What happens in OS X when you have 4GB RAM fitted but boot with

-v cpus=1 maxmem=3072

....?

The kext is nForce SATA/IDE..

For the RAM, using maxmem in any way won't help at all, I only get kernel panic,, I had to remove the actual RAM.

Is the kernel panic linked to any kexts?
