I once deleted a .pkg file and now it is stuck in my Trash. Every time i empty the trash it hangs on it , saying that the resorce is in use and i have to click continue to delete the other files...very annoying

Try this:
Right click on trash, press CMD and choose Secure Empty trash. Please, let me know if this helped.
