Some questions for 2 PC's

Hi everybody, i need just some informations:

 

1) I've a desktop PC with this hardware:

Asus P5QL-EPU

nVidia 8800 GT

Intel E5200

2 Gb Ram (i'll take another 2 to reach 4 Gb)

An unknow PCI-Firewire card

 

First, i've followed

to install the iPC distro and it seems to be ok (maybe the GPU doesn't work perfectly, but I don't care so much)

 

But I need this PC for audio recording using a firewire audio card (for now i've an Alesis iO|26 but maybe i'll change it cause the driver sucks)

 

Can u advise me for some PCI-Firewire card that works well? Or a combo of hardware that works well than mine? I wanna upgrade this PC a little so if there's something better... =)

 

2) I've an HP DV5-1120EL and i wanna also try OSx here. There's any problem on this notebook or everything will be ok? Wich distros I should use?

I always need also a fully functional firewire port, and if the wifi card and everything else will work that's not a bad thing

 

3) How can I Install a bootloader? On this notebook there's Win7 and Debian, so OSx will be the 3rd OS
