Hi,

I really do hope that some one will be able to answer this time. I already posted two well phrased and informative questions here with no replay, which led me to reinstalling the whole thing three times already, dealing with issues that may have been solvable. It's kinda lame making newbies post in a newbie forum, where experienced people do not bother to help.

Anyway.

I have my osx86 machine up and running. GA-695P-S3 board. Sapphire ATI 4670 Video. Q660 CPU. upgraded to 10.6.4. Its working with PCEFI 10.6 bootloader with the Shrike framebuffer. That's the only way I could make the VIdeo card work with QE/CI.

Kexts in Extra:

AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext

EvOreboot.kext

FakeSMC.kext

IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext

LegacyAppleRTC.kext

NullCPUPowerManagement.kext

VoodooPS2Controller.kext.

S/L/E is all vanilla, except for the IONetworking/AppleYukon2 which I manually patched to support the on board 80e8056 marvell yukon ethernet adapter.

Now - the problem is that th whole system "freezes" for a few seconds now and then. Especially when I am performing an action, say - click the address bar in a browser; install something new, switch between windows.

I get the rainbow spinnign wheel for a few seconds, maybe 30-60, then it releases and works. But it's really frustrating, and I can't tell what is causing it.

I have another osx86 build that doesn't have these issue, but it's an MSIwind netbook, on which I followed the instructions at insanelywind.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Oren

If you think it's lame, then don't do it.

This is how it works. You're not entitled to anything. Complaining and whining just makes it less likely that you'll get help.
