johnww Posted November 28, 2010 Share Posted November 28, 2010 I need to build a 1U rackmount server running 10.6. The server will be a web server running apache and other "headless" services. I am looking for a recommendation for a chassis from Supermicro, Dell, HP or other that will provide the easiest install procedure possible. I have configured 1 hackintosh netbook before. Although I accept inserting certain special kexts, I would like the Graphics and Ethernet to work out of the box. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good chassis/CPU combination? Here are the basic specs of what I am looking for: Form factor: 1U rackmount CPU: 1 x Intel 4 or 6 core Disk drives: 4 x SATA RAID: Software RAID handled by OSX Sound: Not required Wifi: Not required Sleep: Not required Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
