Well, I have just registered and can only post here... hopefully some one will be able to help.

I am new at this, only started getting into osx86 this week.

I have installed successfuly on my MSI wind, which is working flawlessly.

And I have been trying to get my desktop to work with OSX as well.

Its a GA-965P-S3 board with a Q6600 CPU and an ATI 4670 video card.

The machine has two SATA drives in AHCI mode (both formated NTFS and used in windows 7). And two IDE drives, one of which I used for the OSX installation (moving it to be #1 in the boot priority in the bios).

I have tried two methods of installing so far - ihack + #####, and empireEFI + myHack.

Both worked - but I get no graphics.

So now I have the ihack install, update to 10.6.5 (hope that's not a mistake!), and ##### install.

On top of that I tried adding my hardware ids to the ATI4600 kext. It just won't boot as long as it's not in safe mode (stuck with the grey apple screen forever).

Later today I am going to try to switch for PC EFI 10.6, but after that I have no more ideas - and will probably reinstall the whole thing.

Can anyone provide me simple steps on getting to to work from scratch? I am already proficient at installing kexts and EFI partitionas and all that :-)

Thanks,

Oren
