Where do i start? what do i do, i have Snow Leopard OSX 3.6 retail disk (It's genuine, it's my friends and he sold his Mac for a laptop as he's moving around a lot and wants 2 take his work with him)

What do I have to download/burn/do to get it all to install. If I can garantee it'l work I'll completely replace windows as I've had enough of it
