My hardware: Asus M2A-VM mobo, AMD Athlon64 X2 4800+ CPU, 2X 1GB OCZ Nvidia SLI RAM, Gigabyte Radeon HD 5670 and the LAN and Sound cards are built-in. Please help!

well there are a few tabs with settings and what do you mean with PC name? i thought custom builds dont have names or brands

Eh you should be alright on your BIOS settings.

Try and boot again, with the -v arch=i386.

And I didn't know this was a custom build.

It's a little easier to get help when you have a noncustom build.

oh and the specs on the core2 pc are: Intel Core 2 Duo E6550, 1GB unknown RAM, Sapphire Radeon X1650 PCI-e, LAN and audio built-in.

Yes, but if that doesn't work, you could just reinstall it for the core2 rig!

That gig of RAM should be fine, I only have a gig in my netbook and it runs snappy.

I love it when a plan comes together.. xDDDDDD :D !

ok ill give it a try thx
