Hiya!

Since my Nvidia 7900 GTO / 512MB seems to refuse working with iPhoto & Aperture any more i found out that QE/CI is not working right now.

Can you help me out with an installation - tutorial? That would be perfect :P (Quartz Extreme checker: Display 1: No acceleration)

Thx in advance

Cyber

btw. i got it working already but then i got a blue screen when installing other apps and reinstalled iAtkos. Since then it won´t work any more with - tried with different methods

which boot-loader do you use? i do use the first one of iAtkos. when it worked i used chameleon RC5. I will give it a try again with this bootloader.

Hi cyberdrive,

make a new install

in bootloader options u must activate Graphics Enebler - thats all - no kext needed ( in driver ).

on first boot u see the Welcome Animation - all is done.

sorry for my bad english -

Yes, i saw that Intro and i can work / install in OS X, but Aperture keeps telling me that i don´t met the minimal requirements...

The point is, that i got it working already (without NATIT & co) once about 2 weeks ago. Since reinstall the 7900 wouldn´t work at full performance.

Thx

Cyber

PS: If it´s easier for you in german - PM would be nice. :)

It doesn't matter what he does, new install or kext. 7900GTO is not supported i'm guessing.

Installed newly yesterday - still the same.

The point about support is, that i got it working once. I do have a screenshot of the system-profiler too and with working Aperture.

But after about 4 weeks now of playing around i am going to buy a supported gfx-card like the Gigabyte GTS 250.

:P

Thanks very much for your help!

biker-flat there is no Enable QE/CI in osx86tools... there is a enable quatzgl witch is not the same.

Cyberdrive how do you write the Graphics Enabler...

It have to be GraphicsEnabler=Yes and you might have to add PCIRoot=1 also so first try:

at bootloader write: GraphicsEnabler=Y

if that dont give you full res and QE/CI, then reboot and write:

GraphicsEnabler=Y PCIRoot=1
