How do you make the leap from a Logitech camera icon on the desktop to iSight support? The most logical thing is that VMWare allows the guest OS to use USB devices that are attached to the Mac, just as it does on Linux and Windows. What I find more interesting is the Parallels icon in the Dock! I guess they wanted to make sure they performed better than the competition. Hopefully not dependant on VT technology Easy drag and drop copying of files (found Parallels Shared Folders are a little buggy) Better optimization of how Windows XP runs, since it is an MS product maybe they could strip out a bit of unnecessary code. nevermind1331 Posted August 7, 2006 Share Posted August 7, 2006 it makes sense to me to assume that it would be for the isight, and they are recommending logitech's software to manage it (as apple doesnt have support for windows with the isight - is that correct?). it would be pointless for them to show another webcam working as most people using macs would be using isight. but, of course this is all speculation and i could be completely wrong on all counts. i just found it interesting is all. Just wondering, are you are saying that VMWare is a Microsoft product? I don't believe this to be true unless some sort of buyout has occurred recently. In fact, Microsoft actually has a product in direct competition with VMWare with Virtual PC. My guess is he was simply talking about optimization, but im unsure as to what capacity.
