crazyJAT Posted November 15, 2010 Share Posted November 15, 2010 Considering the ATI 5XXX series is officially supported in OS X now and the audio works in OS X on those cards, is there any chance in Hell that we will get audio support from the ATI 4850 or 4870? I'm guessing there will never be any official support. However, is there any community development working toward getting this supported with OS X? I mainly ask b/c I want to put together a Hack as an HTPC that will support DTS and DD True HD. Currently, the only way I know of to do this on OS X is with a Radeon 5XXX series card. I would like to use the 4850 I already own that works fine in Windows with DTS and DD True HD, but no support in OS X. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
