hello there,

im about to buy this LENOVO Z360

http://www.notebooksbilliger.de/lenovo+z36...b+platte+nvidia

... but it would be nice to hear some experiences if any of you got this machine. the specs are pretty nice and it looks a bit like a macbook pro :D ... the i5 version is one of the cheapest i5 solutions in 13" notebooks. i would like to know if AHCI is present in bios (efi) and if the nvidia, the sound, the wlan, BT and so on is "fixable" the way i know it. i had some hackbooks so im no complete noob - i just wanna hear some of your experiences / thoughts about that thing :(

got this thing ... VERY nice thing :) but no osx 86 runnin yet.

i tried to install 10.6.3 retail via ##### but that thing ended in kernel panics. then i installed retail 10.6.3 on the internal HD by connecting it to a real mac via usb. installed update 10.6.5 and tried myhackinstaller and ##### - with no luck. the b*tch is booting (-x -v) until this points:

launchctl: please convert the fallowing to launchd : ...

systemShutdown false

Waiting for DSMOS ...

Previous Shutdown Cause: 0

FakeSMC: key info not found MSDS, lenght - 6

ACPI-SMC_PlatformPlugin: start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out

DSMOS has arrived

FakeSMC: key not found BEMB, lenght - 1

here it stops doin anything. using vanilla kernel and NO gfx enabler (gfx disabler to force vesa does the same error)

so does anyone have an idea?

i guess i found the problem:

Intel® Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d) No

Intel® Trusted Execution Technology No

AES New Instructions No

so - this is it ...

THERE IS SOME PROGRESS - some good / some bad. i hope one of the gurus may help here - cause its a NICE notebook:

- you can boot the RETAIL 10.6.3 with NAWCOMS MOD CD (USE MODBIN KERNEL!)

http://blog.nawcom.com/?p=446

you have to uncheck everything you can! (also all the nawcom mods provided)

- after install boot again with the dvd and just chose your HD (automaticly with legacy kernel)

- now install 10.6.5 and DONT reboot

- copy the attached dsdt.aml (THANX TO ASCHAR) to desktop - use ##### and install:

http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/02/mul...stallation.html

DSDT USER

USB REWIND TO 10.6.3 (to have usb in 10.6.5)

NULLCPUPOWERMANAGEMENT

- now you have vanilla with only 2 kexts loaded: fakesmc and nullcpupowermangtment (thats nice)

-> now - you can boot vanilla kernel until DSMOS has arrived - then the screen will kinda freeze without panic and the HD will load on ... thats all for now ...

the DEV ID of the nvidia is: 0a70 - the DEV ID of the intel HD graphic: 0046

the build in WIFI is: AR9285 and this IS compatible looking at this post:

http://osx86.co/f36/atheros-ar9285-0x002b1...-leopard-t6662/

maybe one can do a DSDT fix for that one ... would be cool

also in the attachment: a version of chameleon with the DEV ID 0a70 compiled in the GFX enabler section (thanx again, ASCHAR) - but i dont know if this did anything to move forward ...

dsdt.zip

rev656with_new_nv_id_0a70.zip

my z360 is booting :)

created an installation usb stick with:

- snow leopard 10.6.3 retail

- modbin kernel from nawcoms mod cd

- nullcpupowermanagement.kext

- fakesmc.kext

- dsdt.aml from above

- chameleon bootloader with the nvidia dev id

--> the dev id within the bootloader isnt working, still 1024x768 resolution

gonna try patching to 10.6.5 and get the rest working
