diegoliarte
I haven't been able to update to 10.6.5. I downloaded the Apple Combo Update, backed up my kernel, installed the 10.6.x SleepEnabler.kext and everything went fine. However, my system says I'm still on 10.6.4. WTF? MacKonsti
Guys, I downloaded the 10.6.5 combo installer from Apple and installed it. I rebooted, and my legacy kexts for Yukon 88E8056 and Belking USB Bluetooth dongle worked (were in /E/E) and of course, as expected, I lost AppleHDA that I manually patched for ALC888 in 4 places. However... I have no more SHUTDOWN and REBOOT! I can't do either of these! I have no SleepEnabler installed at all. Just good ole vanilla CPU power management! Can anyone help? RestartFix=Yes works no more! Shuttle XPC SG31G2V2 with ICH7 chipset Intel Q9550 @ 2.83GHz / 4GB RAM 800MHz Chameleon RC5 build 619 with P-States and C-States generated, RestartFix=Yes, SMBIOSdefaults=Yes NVidia GeForce 8400GS PCIe Thank you... farski
Ran the update on a new build through SU, and the update went fine. I did lose USB, but I just started the build yesterday so it's still booting off of #####. With that, though, audio, LAN, and video seem to be fine. EVGA X58 FTW3, i7 920, AMD 5870 Haven't tried it yet on my old build (P5K Pro/Q6600), but that needs some general first-aid anyway so I may start it from scratch.
