NightOwlGoz
Dear experienced OSx86 hackintosher, if you are there, you should have some spare time to spend with noobs. Well done, I am one of them However I really want to learn how to build an OSx86. I've read a lot of topics and discussions but I get myself lost in all this huge amount of data. Therefore, it would be very very nice if you could give me some big milestones to achieve in order to make a hackintosh properly working. I really don't need a "click-here" like tutorial but more a guideline showing the big steps. What I've managed to do so far is installing 10.6 with 10.6.4 combo update with Nawcom 0.3. It seems that I've a got a so-called vanilla (a lot of things are working, incl. ethernet). However my problems are : I only have 1 core working, I need the Nawcom CD to boot, I do not have acceleration on my HD4770 (however chess is not causing a panic) and I cannot change my screen resolution. My config is : Intel Q9450, Asus P5QL-E, 2Gb memory, HD4770. So, dear hackintosher, where shall I start? Can I keep my actual system and tune it up or shall I start from scratch, again? Many many thanks !
