A Nonny Moose
For the low low price of $10 for one, $20 for 3 or $30 for 5, someone at Circuit City will crack the code and put that DVD onto your iPod. The only catch? Well, Circuit City is violating the DMCA, because any cracking of an encrypted DVD is prohibited. Fortunately, it must be a legal copy of a DVD, but I'm unsure as to how they would clarify this. Maybe you need a sales receipt or something like that to prove you really do own the movie. So it makes me wonder what the full payment is for. Perhaps most of that fee is going to the movie companies. I mean, you'd think that Circuit City wouldn't be so blatantly stupid as to do this without several lawyers and hundreds of contracts to avoid getting sued or jailed. dtm3dd
Its an interesting one.. I'm sure that movie companies won't mind that much as they are making you prove you bought the movie or whatever. I think it was Mash that said If you bought the information it is your right to use it. or something similar on another thread.
