Good i7 Notebook for Hackintoshing

I'm thinking about a getting a laptop specifically for hackintoshing. I was wondering if you guys could suggest one to me. The main things I want it to have are a relatively fast Core i7 processor and an equally fast GeForce graphics card. I also want it to be aesthetically appealing (on the exterior, I mean). I'm looking to spend maybe around $1,000, possibly more or less depending on circumstances. It would also be good if it had a built in camera and microphone that would work in OS X. The camera part isn't that important, but the microphone part is very important as I use this feature on my current laptop constantly for recording snippets of guitar riffs. One other feature that would be nice is for the video output (which on most newer laptops is HDMI) to work. Suggestions?

Hey Guys,

I bought a secondhand Acer Aspire 5745G i7 last weekend.

Comes with 4GB RAM

nVidia GT330M 1GB Ram

Blu-Ray drive

640Gb HDD

Currently running 10.6.5

QE/CI works

Ethernet & WiFi works

Sound works using VoodooHDA, but lots of noise. (I got rid of it).

Trackpad: basic functionality.

Bluetooth not working

Please help here. I want to buy TOSHIBA Tecra S11-13X i7-620M .

AFAIK graphics is NVIDIA Quadro NVS 2100M , which I hope is supported by CUDA driver official by Nvidia

Unfortunatelly cannot find wifi data, camera and other things. Maybe you know something more about it?

And if the laptopo is OK and works with MACOSX?

Thank you!

I am using VAIO VPCZ129GG with Mac OS. I have 1 SSD for Windows with ##### and 3 SSD Raid 0 for Mac OS with ||desktop and XP for some software that don't have Mac version.

It is not perfect but acceptable for me.

On the Z display you cannot control the brightness, so I bought a USB->Display adapter and use my external monitor and I close the Z display so it will turn the display off.

Wifi is not working, I use a USB->Wifi to replace it.

In Mac OS I can see 4GB RAM, but in ||desktop I can see 8GB RAM.

Ethernet, speakers are working.

You have to hack the BIOS to access the advanced settings before start installing Mac OS.

I didn't know a lot about Acers, but since I bought this one I've found out that they make a couple of i7 models of 5745G.

The thing that attracted me to this machine was that it has the GT 330M, which I think is the same as the ones used in Apple MacBookPros.

The next thing that attracted me was that it had an i7. I was just looking for an i5 machine. The Blu-Ray writer was a bonus.

It can dual boot Win7 Home Premium (64bit) and Snow Leopard 10.6.5 (64bit). It's the perfect machine for me cause I still need to run Windows apps occasionally.
