Hello, I tried this tutorial on my 1000H. Everything works ok until I update to 10.6.4 and reboot. Then it never completes boot again, I get a kernel panic during boot.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Can you post a pic of the KP?

maybe there is some problem with the bluetooth. disable it in BIOS and try it again. if it wont help, boot in the verbose mode and make a photo of the screen, please.

Hi, I am reinstalling now.
I managed to boot it by removing the Sleepenabler.kext (which was the new one).
But then sound, quartz and sleep was broken.
Do you think I should update to 10.6.3 after installing?

Before updating to 10.6.4, download and install the 10.6.4 SleepEnabler, but don't reboot. Then install the 10.6.4 Combo Update from Apples Download page and let it restart.

If you get the panic again, take a picture of it and post it.

That's how I done:

- Install latest chamaleon from netbookinstaller
- Install new sleepenabler in /Extra/GeneralExtensions
- Run UpdateExtra
- Install 10.6.4 Combo

Now I have just reinstalled 10.6.0
I can try again tomorrow and take a picture for you, do you think the picture of the KP would help?
Thank you!

Yes, the kernel panic pic would help. When you take the pic, boot with -v.

Hi guys. I updated, disabled bluetooth and it worked!
I'll have to test a bit more of sleep/wake, but at least it booted and I have sound and quartz.
Does this mean I wont be able to turn bluetooth on again anymore? I don't really use it, but it would be nice to have it working.
Thanks for your help!

for some reason I am still not having any luck.

I have a standard eee pc 1000H but the OSX installer opens at 1024x768 instead of 1024x600 so all the ok/next buttons are hidden.

Only other thing I can think of it my 1000H came with the 160GB hard drive instead of 80GB - could this make a difference due to the kexts?

or any other thoughts? on the verge of giving up :)

I don't know why on some netbook the resolution doesn't work right

EDIT: try to type this into the promt :
"GraphicsMode"="1024x600x32"

Hi, i had the same problem, but managed to get through the instalation using the keyboard.
If you select the first control in the screen and hit shift+tab you will move to the "ok" button, then you hit space to press the button.
Hope it helps.

Hi, Klohannes ;)

I just want to share my experience with you.

I followed you guide, but at the end there are 2 problems.

First I can't get 1024x600 resolution, which I fixed with "SwitchResX".

And the second one is with the bluetooth.

When the bluetooth is "Enabled" in bios I get Kernel Panic.

Thanks in advance :)

Good luck
