When I install Voodoo HDA it causes a Kernel Panic telling me to "hold down the power button until it shuts down". How do I remove it when I am in the installer? I really do not want to reinstall Snow Leopard again.

Thanks.

I am running a

GA-G41M-ES2L Rev 1.4

Core 2 Duo E7500

Mac 10.6.4

I have tried VoodooHDA 2.7.1 and 2.7.2

I followed this guide to install on my motherboard with the USB method. http://www.ridgel1ne.com/OSX86/Tutorials.html I then ran the Ridgel1ne post installer and I have the E7500 DSDT, I also am running Chameleon, whichever is in the MyHack 1.1 Installer. Do you know how I could get my sound to work?

Well, the AppleHDA never worked. In system profiler it said that I had High Definition Audio, but when I go to my system preferences I have no output devices. So I don't know why it doesn't work. Does it have to be a special LegacyHDA or does any work, because I don't have one?

I downloaded from the link you provided, where it says "I like Tonymacx86's guide. It's clear, well written, and has nice screenshots. Just replace ##### with EmpireEFI, and replace ##### with Ridgeline’s installer".

I didn't install it, but opened the pkg with Pacifist and there is a Legacy888bHDA.kext.
