Hi Insanelymac,

i am attempting to do a clean install of 10.6.3 on a system with the p5k pro mobo.

I got quite far, but now there are strange things happening.

After installation i boot from disk via chameleon that came with myhack.

Right after the gray loading screen (if boot without flags), the screen becomes black and stays that way.

GraphicsEnabler=yes doesnt make a difference.

Other flags also do not...

i have nVidia GT8600 256mb

i made a DSDT.aml file in Windows and copied it to my real mac.. there i placed it on the thumbdrive containing the installer and myhack...

Now to get it into the root directory i should copy it there somehow, but i can not do this from the desktop offcourse  so i went into Terminal at the install screen and copied it from thumb to hdd, but then i cannot modify permissions and owner because file system is in read-only mode.

What can i do to make this work?

I want to thank this forum for the information i already got from it.

In return i will write about my adventures in getting this to work.

Thanks!!

Great! i managed to get into OSX in safe mode..

Now to get de dsdt stuff working...

is it true that when you have DSDTSE extract a DSDT file that you get a file specifically for your hardware? or do you have to type your hardware codes in there yourself?

Furthermore...

my systempreferences freeze the moment i open them.

itunes freezes.. everything is highly unstable..

what do? :) anyone?
