I built my own PC so I didn't know where to find the compatibility. What OSx do I need to download? Will 10.5.7 work?

No, the last iPC distro was 10.5.8.

Don't use distros and especially not Leopard on a modern PC like yours.

Use the Snow Leopard 10.6.3 retail DVD + a suitable boot CD.

Google 'tonymacx86' (there's a blog and a forum) for install guides and tutorials for Gigabyte/Core ix systems.
