Hi,

i read tons of post, over thousand of ... anyway.

I'm confused in understanding of kext, mkext, plist. I've installed mac snow on EP41-UD3L with E6750 Core 2 Duo. Everythings works out of the Box, everything but the sleep/suspend mode.

I read in many post, that sleep/suspend should be work with my hardware, but i did'nt really. It looks like the keyboard and hard disk go sleeping but the rest - monitor, mainboard - did'nt.

I've used different kext extensions with kexthelper installation like sleepenabler ... no result.

I seen two folder who contains kext files: System/Library/Extension and the Extra/Extensions.

I think the Extra-folder extensions comes from the ##### installation an contain a handsful of kext files. The S/L/E folder contains around 40 kext files. I used the terminal to see what kext is loaded - wow ... a long list. I think the kexthelper install new kext into the S/L/E folder. If it right - why i need a Extra/Extension folder with mkext? Why i need mkext ? So what ist the difference between kext an mkext ?

Th next question for me: are the kext files, who can find in the internet, specified to the special hardware configuration of kext file publishing guys ? Need to modify these kext files ? And then, how (I read, some kext files are related to strings in the plist files) ?

At the end, how can i kick my board to go automatically sleeping ?

May anybody give me a idea ? Or there i can read a description ?

Sorry about me bad english.

Br Peter
