lax79
I have an iAtkos s3 v2 CD and when I try to boot it up to install Snow Leopard 10.6, I get an error message saying "still waiting for root device." I've tried several times to boot using -v, -s, -x, but I still get the same error message. Is it simply incompatible hardware or is it a configuration problem? Any possible solution is greatly appreciated. Here are my specs. I know, its a dinosaur, but I really don't have the money to invest into a newer computer right now. I'm pretty sure that it can run on this old thing, as people have done it in the past. Board- Intel D845VGSR CPU- Intel Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz RAM- 1.5 Gb DDR-333 Graphics- Intel Extreme Graphics Controller 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Hard Drive- Seagate U Series 9 80 GB Optical Drive- SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SD-616F Thanks again. Also, is OS X picky about the configuration of your HDD and DVD ROM? Like, setting the HDD as the primary master and DVD as the primary slave. I'm wondering if that could be another possible problem. EDIT: I gave your suggestion a try. Still getting the error. Any other suggestions?
