Hi all,

Been real Mac user since 2005. Currently working with MBP and decided to switch to desktop computer (Hackintosh) and stuck with a graphics card. Im planing to install Snow Leopard only (no dual boot). Basically i need Adobe Premiere to work with Mercury engine support, so the only choice is nVidia card with a Cuda support. The problem is that i want graphics card under 200$ and it seems that there aren't so many options in this price range. Any recommendations?

The rest of the specs will be:

MB: GIGABYTE GA-P55-US3L

CPU: INTEL CORE i5-760

RAM: Corsair 3x2GB (6GB) DDR3 1333 MHZ

HDD: WD CAVIAR BLACK 1TB SATA3 7200RPM

Thanks

eg. GTX 285 which is fully compatibile card and has cuda support. Most 8xxx, 9xxx or 2xx series will run on OSX without issues and has cuda support too but before you buy one check this thread to see which one will run best.

If you want to fully utilize mercury premiere support make sure that graphic card has at least 1GB RAM.

Cheers!

Thanks for reply. First of all my eyes were on GTX 260 cause it fits in my budget, but after reading this forum, i found that it's not compatible with a hackintosh system and Snow leopard. GTX 285 is a bit pricey for me :( Maybe 9800 GTX?

GTX260 works fine, I have it running on a p35 system. Just needs a little tweeking post install, I used this guide: http://osx86.co/f19/guide-geforce-gtx-260-...-leopard-t4057/
