iDeneb 10.5.6, installed well, but opening files on startup

I've got what seems to be a pretty decent install of iDeneb 10.5.6 installed on a Gigabyte EP43-GS3R with a Q6600, but seem to have an odd startup problem. Every time OSX loads up, it opens a couple of files. One's an innocuous picture file loading into Preview, and another is an audio file that loads into iTunes and makes a loud noise!

I'm running the install from a partition on a 1tb drive. It was originally installed on a different drive but copied to this one using SuperDuper, so I've always got a backup of the original setup if something goes horribly wrong :P

I've been searching around for answers, but everything I've found so far writes about loading applications on startup/login, nothing has come up about individual files.

Renaming them didn't help so I've worked around it by duplicating the files, trashing the originals and renaming the duplicates back to the original file name. Bit of a hack but it did the trick.

Can anyone tell me why this was happening, and the correct procedure for removing them from startup?

Cheers!

Did it show in startup items? Does the MD5SUM of your iso match up?

They weren't in Startup items or login items. Although I thought you could only get applications to start in those ways? This was definitely file-specific.

Didn't think of checking the MD5SUM at the time and have done quite a lot to the install since. SuperDuper didn't report any problems though.
