motionworks
I am getting this line in my System Profiler - Memory section, Memory Slots: ECC: Disabled I have Tyan S5396 Motherboard, 2 x Intel Xeon Processor And Fully Buffered ECC Kingston Rams. In bios ECC option is activated. (SERR Signal Condition=Single Bit) But in OS, it looks like not. Is it just a cosmetic or do i have to something to activate ECC on Snow leopard Thanks! Snow Leopard 10.6.4 (myhack install)
3.14r2
I also use ECC memory. It says "enabled in" System Profiler. IMHO, most things in system profiler are pure cosmetics. You may probably try another boot loader (AnVAL or AsereBLN). There might be a problem with proper memory detection. Another trick is to use SMBIOS.plist (though I'm not 100% positive that this would solve the ECC problem).
motionworks
If it is cosmetic, is there anyway to test ECC is enabled or not ! Thanks
