SilverTroll Posted September 22, 2010 Share Posted September 22, 2010 First of all let me apologise to those who may have replied to my original thread asking for help getting Leo installed on my nVidia/Intel desktop. I made the post and then entered into an argument with my ISP that resulted in me being without an ISP. I am however now back online (obviously). I have ditched the idea of my desktop having SL on it as most of the time the Leopard Installer wouldn't even run and I have successfully installed iDeneb 10.5.7 on my Compaq Presario. I have installed Dong's frame buffer kext which at least gives me native resolution at least. I have installed the realket lan kexts so I have network up and running. I can't get the atheros AR9285 card working but that's not really a problem for me. What I would like to get working is the audio. It was kind of working with the voodooHDA kext that I selected on installation but the sound was crackly and stuttered a lot. So I installed the appleHDA kext, but that didn't work at all. So then I went to kexts.com and got the latest voodooHDA.kext and tried installing that. I have no audio at all and when I try to accesss the voodoo section in system preferences I get the error message "Can't get registry entry path" - so basically I've stuffed up my audio Can someone please help me sort it out? many thanks in advance (as a secondary request can someone tell me how to change my keyboard layout from US to UK?)
