Hey guys (and girls :P )

My friend gave me all the cds (#####, retail dvd) and instructions to install osx on a partition of my external hdd. Everything went well, but..

When I try to boot osx with #####, it loads exactly 20 times this message:

EBIOS read error: Device Timeout

   Block 0x64044 Sectors 0

At the time the boot I can recognize my hdds green light suddenly turn off. So the problem seems to be that ##### cannot connect to my hdd.

Any advice from this community? At least I hope so!

Martti

Hey

Sorry for double-post, but I figured this out and want to share it for others, who may have the same problem.

When in ##### GUI where you can choose the OS to boot, move the selection over your OSX-installation and type:

EHCIacquire=No UHCIreset=No

Then press enter.

This prevents the hdd from turning off. Nothing else needed.
