Sorry for being a bit newbie here, but how do I proceed with those files? At the moment I have Win7 and Ubuntu on that machine, but I'm planning to wipe it clean with SL. But I haven't installed SL on a netbook before, how do I proceed?

I'll prepare USB stick with NBM for SL and install SL?
And then install Chameleon? How about those files you posted?

I hate being such a newbie. Well you gotta start learning hackintoshing from somewhere, right

got some new probs
i also using sl on 1215n...
used sl 10.6.3 iso to make my usb stick
after install on usb stick finished i uses netbookinstaller on the usb stick to boot from
boot from usb stick let me install sl on the intern hd

i boot from usb stick and choose my fresh sl installation from hd
first boot will take some time...but sl will start...
my problem is, i cant boot into sl without the usb stick..
if i drop the stick and boot from hd - a grey screen appears - nothing more..
chameleon is installed... the chameleon screen on startup appears - i can choose win7 or osx
on osx grey screen - stop
with booting from usb stick my fresh sl installation boots up and works..
anyone can help me out to fix this problem?

Someone should try to make a script to enable the ION 2 at launch but all this isn't only an OSX issue, I think linux guys are also working on that and that it should be portable.

I would personally be more than happy for just ion2 chipset, of course, we'd have to accept the loss in battery life, but hey, at least for me, Flash acceleration plays important role. I want to be able to watch 720p Youtube (minimum) Fullscreen. With integrated gma3150 it's not happening in Ubuntu, and of course in Windows with ion2's help, it's no problem.


Correct me if I'm wrong, but ion2 is by default "always on", this has been seen here, on the Hybrid Graphics Linux project's maling list.
The ion2 chip drains power all the time unless not forced off. So in my theory, if we can get OSX to handle the graphics with ion2 we should be good? If it's all the time powered on, it should be only kext issue to get it to work?

but no kexts for
GMA950
X3100
INTELHD
iadded ID of card to this kexts but no one of them worked loaded


anther problem is bootloader cant patch nvidia ion2 rom
so it isnt identified

may be when GMA3150 disabled nvidia card will work

so the possible solution
is asking ASUS to make key on bios setting to choose card you want to make it works

I know that on the 10" version which has 7 starter preinstalled you have to rebbot to swap graphics, so you can enable only one card on the startup. It might help to know how this works exactly, wether the swap is done on bios on seven booting. Then, if it's done on bios someone could probably hack this feature to feat 1215n's one
