blaqsense
Hello, I'm a newbie here (I've read a few post) so now today I decided to load itakos v7 on my dell 1745...well I booted it up, first changed my sata ops to ACHI. Booted up ran through the cli informations and was prompted to select button to continue and I did so. Then it asked me to select a partition for install, well nothing came up so I went to disk utility and saw my 150 hd there but it also showed my previous partitions I had with Windows 7.... I tried to select each one and hit erase but their still there, should I had just partitioned partition the drives first say under windows and not format them, then start my install? Thanks in advanced Update: Okay I got it to get to just one partition by going to volume scheme, now a question format options? mac os extended (journaled) I've read a few tutorials but alot were on the Asus model, so I don't want to try anything if it's not the correct choice. Thanks.. uPDATE 2: I apologize forum members, let me just go through this and see what happens, but now i'm actually customizing my system according to another user...but just giving problems that it's checking the disk before installing but stops after about 34 minutes, saying it needs to be cleaned, let me do this part and If I have any real questions I'll ask again later tonight...but so far it's installing and crossing my fingers.. KrlzGmz
Ive seen a lot of guides stating Mac OS Extended (Journaled) is the best option for OSX Install. For ex.: Kyles blog Dual Boot Guide.
