MacFanatic76 Posted September 13, 2010 Share Posted September 13, 2010 Nvidia has recently (09.09.) relased a new set of drivers for GTX 285 and Quadro, Snow Leopard 10.6.4 only. The biggest downside is that the drivers are for Mac Pro 5,1 (Mid 2010) only, that is anything lower than that won't work... I tried the driver on my GTX 285 here, and as many might suggest, the first thing that greets you after launching the installer is "Unsupported system". Trying to workaround this, using Pacifist/manual installation just ended up in a login screen-loop, swithing black, blue and white colours Link to Nvidia driver's page Is there any chance that the community would soon have a new SMC, based on the latest MacPro, and a suitable MacPro5,1-smbios ?
