DR Mac
6- extract your gfx bios by gpuz under windows7-paste this bios on extra folder after naming it to 1002_xxxx.rom replace xxxx with your device id To be more specific, I'm worried about this step of the process. Is the system profiler exact enough?
sirbow2
oh that part, yes that is one way. i bet there is a way to extract the bios in DOS, linux, or you could just download your rom from your manufactures website or from techpowerup. sirbow2
nerver mind ive read some more, you cant get support for HD 3200 unless you downgrade to 10.5 ill help you get your HD 5450 going though. install GFX 1.0 from software update if you haven't already. down laod THIS file and put the boot file from the archive to the root of your chameleon drive. remove any previous GFX injectors, EX. aty_init then reboot on boot type exactly: AtiFb= after the = try any of the following framebuffers till one works, i'd try Uakari or Vervet first Alopias Alouatta Baboon Cardinal Caretta Colobus Douc Eulemur Flicker Galago Gliff Hoolock Hypoprion Iago Kakapo Kipunji Lamna Langur Megalodon Motmot Peregrine Quail Raven Shrike Sphyrna Triakis Uakari Vervet Zonalis So EX. DR Mac
I got my computer up and running yesterday using ##### ATI 5xxx-3, and ##### 2.2.2. I used a kext for the ethernet, and everything works perfect, except the fact that I'm using my GPU in 32bit mode. Since I already have the new Graphics 1.0 update installed, do I run any risk trying to do this? And I see that if I want to use Vervet, as I'm currently using now, I unzip that, and replace the boot file. But where am I suppose to be getting the .rom file for this installation? I apologize for being so naive.

Using those you should be fine. Replace boot file in /Volumes Put the 1002_68b8.rom in /Extra/ Add UseAtiRom to your boot.plist like explained in this thread. DR Mac
Hey flipflp, Thank you so much, kind sir, for such a wonderful gesture! I'm so excited to get home and try this out now! One last question that I have, do I need to remove Ati_Init file or can that stay? And after adding all of these files, I should use Kext Utility to repair permissions before rebooting, correct?
