Hi,

I'm Mert from OSX and im new to OSX86 ;)

I already have a Apple iMac 27" i5, but i havent got any money to buy a macbook pro for mobility :)

Then i found out OSx86.

I have a HP Pavilion DV6500 Notebook.

I want to install OSx86 Snow Leopard in it.

The config is this :

Microprocessor AMD 1.9Ghz Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-58

Microprocessor Cache 512 KB + 512 KB Level 2 cache

Memory 1024 MB (2 x 512 MB)

Video Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS

Hard Drive 160 GB (5400 rpm)

Multimedia Drive Lightscribe Super Multi DVD Writer (+/-R +/-RW) with Double Layer support

Display 15.4" WXGA High Definition BrightView Widescreen (1280 x 800)

Fax/Modem High speed 56K modem

Network Card Ethernet 10/100BT (integrated)

Wireless Connectivity 802.11a/b/g WLAN

The chipset is MAYBE the nForce 520.

I heard about the iDeneb, etc.

Which version of OSx86 ( iDeneb etc. ) do i have to install?

I want a Windows 7 for the 2. OS. How can i do that?

Do i have to do any extra installs for the pc recognizing the Sound Card vs after installing the OSx86 ?

Thanks,

Mert

to give the basics, you are going to need a modded kernel (try voodoo, chocolate or ToH)

to be honest, the best way to getting a working installation is to try and find people that have done it already

looking at this old topic: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=84889

it seems that OP was able to use the ToH kernel to install to there DV5, so try looking around for distros that will allow you to do this, the current most popular options are iATKOS and iDeneb (make sure you get the latest versions), the latest OSX right now is 10.6.4
