Sn1pest3r
dude, 95% of those options are not present in my BIOS , i really think that i should change that SATA mode that is set on RAID, it's greyed out how can i change that? P.S. i noticed that, if i make any changes to HDD SMART capability (the default it's Auto), i mean if i change it to Enabled or Disabled the installer won't even boot, i get the still waiting for root device error, so i need to change it back to Auto... how the hell can i unlock the bios? The motherboard is acer mcp73pv Somebody help me please!

verdant
Acer Aspire M3640 On some BIOS to set AHCI mode, the SATA controller has to be enabled, and the RAID mode enabled too but the individual SATA RAID channels disabled.........since I do not have your specific BIOS manual, I cannot say if this is true of your BIOS........
