kwr66
i have an ibm thinkpad t42p pentium m 1.8 ghz 2 gig ram model 2374. i tried installing ipc osx86 10.5.6 but it wont even get to install screen. kalyway 10.5.2 installs perfectly. i format as mac os journaled, not guid part. im trying that now. i always installed with sleep kernel, trying speedstep now. it autoselects my audio network all mobo some tp apps, netkas smbios... im now adding boot with cpus=1 and intel memory controller. before i just let it autoselect what i needed, and every time it hung at mac framework initialized, xxxx buffer headers and xxxx io buffer headers (something like that) any solutions? god ive searched google a million times
kwr66
Finally successful install with t42p. kalyway 10.5.2 the error when you are stuck with xxxxx buffer headers and xxxx io buffer headers is because of acpi error. you must install those drivers if you want to get past that error, acpi deals with power management. drivers: speedstep kernel, all motherboard drivers, autoselect network and audio, no gfx driver, select cpus=1 patch, usbfix, jas 10.4.8 acpi fix, etcedera. make sure you have jas. its really the only important one. PARTITION AS GUID GO TO DISK UTILITY AND PRESS OPTIONS AS GUID.
