I have tried and failed to install iPC 10.5 and Hazard's 10.6 on this machine

So far I have been able to install 10.6.2 by Hazard but when it restarts nothing boots.

Do I need to format the whole hard drive? So far I have only formatted a partition inside a fat hd running windows on another partition.

CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000 3.00GHz Dual Core CPU

MOBO - Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe (Socket AM2) PCI-E DDR2

MEM - GeIL 2GB PC2-6400 CAS5 (2x1GB) Dual Channel Kit

GFX - NVIDIA 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3(PCI-Express) DX10

PWR - Antec 650W Next Generation Power Supply

Has anyone had any luck with this motherboard and can anyone suggest a solid method?

Use the following guide as a baseline, your board is slightly different but most of the kexts should work, just compare your hardware to the A8n-sli. I have installed Hazard and iDeneb on the M2N4-SLI, it's a challenge but doable. Note that you can get SATA working, but IDE does not work.
