austinar
hey there, I own a MBP but I want to make a hackintosh desktop rather than selling myself for a MacPro the main use is going to be as a rendering machine & 3D modelling for architecture i was looking at 6+ cores but after some long internet searching (google is my best buddy) I think I'm going to go with this set up: Asus P6X58D-E Motherboard Intel i7-930 CPU OC 4Ghz 6Gb Cosair Ram ATi Sapphire HD 5870 2Gb Toxix Edition I wanted to check that all the parts are hackintosh compatible - i've saved guide for mobo nd i've found out that tonymacx86 has something for 5870 graphics but as i'm very new to all this its quite confusing - can anyone tell me if its a case of just putting in CDs or will i have to adapt code? is there an idiots guide for everything? also any suggestions for improvements? should i go down a larger core CPU? i've got max of £1.5k b good to hear everyone's responses Austin
