Unable to boot without -x

Using iAtkos S3 Ver2. From searching around the hardware seems to be compatible.

 

However the only flag I can boot with is -x, which I believe doesn't load the Voodoo PS/2 drivers and thus my laptop's built in keyboard and trackpad ren't working (and I don't have a USB keyboard at the moment).

What are some common steps to take with this problem? Thanks.
