Hello everyone,

Current and latest update:

Applied all voodoo kexts that I get, and it works now!

I wanted to try out MacOSX 10.6.4 on a R61e (7650-A11) with these specifications:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz

Graphics: Intel GMA X3100 it works

WLAN: Intel WI 4965 is not working (I know- driver is on it's way, I will fix that via an USB WLAN stick).

Ethernet: Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet? is not working.

HDD: 500 GB MacOSX (380GB) shared with Windows 7 (120 GB).

2GB Ram

I've used the Retail method with ##### from tonymacx86, because it was the hassle free methode for me.

The main problems are the Kernel Panics (You have to turn off your computer), I've encountered.

I've got iMovie and it crashes, while all other iLife/iWork programmes are working great. (Solved by Voodoopower) I've also encountered another crash after installation of the drivers of a RT73 WLAN Stick.

Drivers list:

- Battery icon on the upper bar Solved Voodoobattery

- Trackpoint Solved VoodooPS2controller 0.98 (No middle key to scroll)

- Speedstep Solved Voodoopower

- Graphics built in

- Sound: VoodooHDA

- Network: N/A

- WLAN: Under construction.

Important: Never sleep your laptop. It will result into a blinking halfmoon.

Install all updates, that you can get via another Windows/Mac computer

I've attached a screenshot, which shows my system in action:

Wrong image: Showed Windows 7 sorry- great beginning.

Here is the right one:

If you are pro enough, you can try to install a Windows dualboot environment:

You are needing your Windows-CD of your choice.

Burned image of ##### supported.

And all mentioned kexts above.

1st: Turn on your computer.

2nd: hit F1 to enter BIOS

3rd: Insert ##### and/or check whether CD's first.

4th: wait until the selection screen appears.

5th: Eject ##### and insert Snow Leopard's DVD.

6th: Language of your choice, after that go into Applications and play Disk doctor

7th: !Make sure you have backed up all files and data! I've did it with an extra for that purpose bought SATAII 500 GB, what you are doing is up to you.

Divide the harddrive and format it under GUID with MacOSX partition on Journaled and Windows on FAT.

8th install MacOS X

9th: Install Windows XP/Vista/7 on your FAT partition with the order to reformat it.

10th: Do what you want to do. In my case, I've made an image with DriveImage XML from my old drive and created a LiveXP Boot disk to recover it.

11th: Now we are returning back to MacOS X. ##### and boot up your Mac OS X.

12th: Set up you like to do.

13th: Install the 10.6.4 combi update and reboot.

14th: Install ##### with ##### with your processor type.

15th: After that, you have to set MacOS X's partition to the active partition.

You can boot now up Windows 7 (my case) or MacOSX.

Isn't that great?

Now I have something to impress my friends

Even though, you haven't answered here, I want to say thank you for reading. BTW, you can follow further updates on my project here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=5414

Best regards,
