MordLust Posted April 26, 2011 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Update: I finaly managed the internal and external Mic to work! With jack detection! But my Problem now is that the headphone dont work properly! Jack detection for HP work, the internal Speakers go mute when i stick they in the jack, but there is no Sound on the HP. The only Sound on Headphones is the "beep" when i remove the Powercable from laptop! but this beep-Signal is from my Laptop direct, not from osx! All other Sounds dont work in HP! Is there detailed Information about the Config String in voodoohda´s info.plist? What is every number for? 0x04211012 (What i know is that the 1 is for group, the 2 is for Number in Group), for what is the rest Numbers? ankh_red Posted July 8, 2011 Share Posted July 8, 2011 HElloo!... this is a great thread btw. i have problem with my ALC269 on my laptop (acer 4745g) i provided my voodoo and dumps so you guys can see whats wrong with it ... The problem is my speaker doesnt really work.. there is only NOISES (is this what they called larsen effect?) but there is no actual sound system.. i tried bunch of voodoo and try to configure it myself but all i can get is the noises and no actual sound.. if someone could help me, really appreciate that . Mustang Sally Posted July 15, 2011 Share Posted July 15, 2011 thanks Mohamed Khairy i followed your pinconfig guide and am finally able to use voodoohda 2.72 on my alc663, previouly the only version that worked on my asus m50 notebook was version 2.56 but would cause random panicks at bootup. (i pinconfig that one first then copied the info.plist to 2.72 after changing the version text to 2.72) all inputs and outputs working. i had downloaded the fixes you did for others to compare and applied it to mine. no more random kp at boot!! cl06 Posted August 22, 2011 Share Posted August 22, 2011 I hope to Make Library for pin configured VoodooHDAThis will make nearly all input output work for any audio codec This is the original topics i learned from it 1 , 2 Thanks to Slice and The KiNG Helped me to understand that This is kext i use corrected 2.62 Let's go Here will be pin configured kexts 1- how to getdump to help me to pin config your codec Download this file and open it will open terminal contain your audio codec copy it to txt file and upload it for me (be sure that you installed VoodooHDA.kext) Some times may give you only HDMI if you have ATi graphics card so you need to add your onboard sound card as primary follow this guide use this app to know ID of your Audio controller you will get screen like this to make right id to use must be like this (0xDev ID Ven ID) as you see my id is ( 0x43831002) Paste it on key IOPCIPrimaryMatch install kext then restart and run getdump again you must get audio codec now 2- How to use configured kext to use kext you must add audio controller id as i explained above >IOPCIPrimaryMatch< is clear so just add your id to make it work DONE audio codec VIA VT1708S from ASUS M4A78T-E RealTek ALC885 (alc889a) from Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H some times some codecs dont allow all input output to work in same time so in some codecs you may lost one or more output input i want many people share their codecs Hi Mohamed Khairy I´ve read your post!
