rynod
Hey guys, I just installed snow leopard 10.6.3 on my HP Dv5 1138tx Everything seemed to install fine, and everything works fine (apart from wifi which I knew it wouldnt with intel wifi link 5100) The only thing that doesnt work, is the USB connections on the "left" site of my laptop. the ones on the right side work. but none of them read my Iphone when I plug it in with the usb cable.?? They DO read usb thumb drives, but for some reason not my Iphone. Is there some sort of fix for this? Regards, Ryan

rynod
does itunes work? yep, itunes worked. not only did it not see my iphone but my iphone doesnt charge, nothing makes a sound, no connection whatsoever? I have tried 2 different usb cables, both apple supplied but nothing. my problem is bigger now, after the install, i rebooted, went through all the welcome {censored}, played around for a bit, then rebooted os x, an now when I select the hard drive install, it just goes to the ##### screen with nothing on it except that little face/head logo at the top. nothing loads.? bugger. so I am reinstalling again. any ideas? J.B
try booting of you install USB/CD and select the HDD as your boot target (dont reinstall) that will make sure your OSX system is still normal, after that you can try to fix your booting
