Hello

I was donated a Dell Precision 670 with dual Xeon processors on Tuesday

so I decided to turn it into a Hackintosh as I had already done so with my laptop.

After finding out that the internal DVD was misreading the itAkosv7 iso image

improperly I swapped out the old DVD reader and put a new one in.

Hey presto got the installer working.

After another day of sorting out the install I found that I have a problem with

the graphics card which is a QuadroFX1300.

After trying several different methods including installing and re-installing various

Nvidia kexts including NVinstallerv.41, Corevidia 1.1 and NVDarwin, using EFI strings

fom ESI Studio and OSX86 Tools and using the custom EFI strings from the disk

the most I can get out of this card is to run it in emulation mode with quartz GL active

and Core Image software with only one screen resolution available via a string

placed in the com.apple.boot.plist.

And no the graphicsenabler option is not working either.

ethernet is working straight from the box and all other options are functioning.

If it isn't possible then I'll go and get a new graphics card.

But until then I would like to know the possibilites.

One other thing which popped up was that the

Pciroot for the device comes up as

<key>PciRoot(0x4)/Pci(0x4,0x0)/pci(0x0,0x0)</key>...

Oh and how would one go about creating a DSDT so that I can access the card

directly...I am very new to this so the fact of the matter is I don't have a clue

about how to decompile and then recompile a DSDT file...

Thank you in advance.
