Hi,

I tried to use the search and either I am lacking skills to use the search or I just never found the topic if it's been created if so I am sorry point me in the right direction and I will go there.

Bit of info, I currently am running windows 7 64 bit, I currently want to dual boot Windows 7 and Mac Leopard. I have Ipc and Iatkos (speeling is likely wrong) ... I believe it's version 10.6.2 don't hold me to it but those are the installs.

My problem first was getting the installer to work on Iatkos but I did F8 then typed -x -v busratio=20 cpus=1

Then the install booted up fine never crashed. However the same problem lies, I can never find my hard drive when it asks me where I was to install it.

I checked the disk utility it never finds anything, I created the partican make it active (have windows 7 on 100 gb partician and the mac partician on a 80 gb partician). I did it like all the tutorials suggest but if there a problem with my hard drive or something I am overlooking.

In the bios I don't know,

my system specs is:

AMD 955 Quad Core

250 gb maxtor (6m2l00)

Video Card is onboard (don't really need anything more currently)

Mobo: M4A890 Asus

4 gigs DDR 3 1600

24" Samsung monitor

Any help would be appreciated, I don't can't come to understanding why I can't get my hard drive to show up I would erase my hard drive totally if I knew I would not have to keep installing windows 7 to try to troubleshoot. My boot mgr once I make the partician for where I am going to install the mac os then make it active when I do that I always get the boot mgr problem and repairing w7 doesn't work.

Anyways any idea what I am doing wrong, I really want to get this up and working.

try my guide

I actually fixed it, but plugging my drive into sata 1 for some reason it was plugged into sata 6. Changed the hard drive to ACHI, I finally got it to find my drive under the disk utility something it never did before.

However now it installs tells me to reboot after it installs says it was successful etc. I take the disk out, as I never did this before with windows always left it in but with osx it kept wanting to boot from the disk regardless and do the install all over again etc.

I take it out get the option to boot into windows, of the mac with the boot manager thing it installed. However I go to the mac os option hit enter and it just sits at a mac screen that says its loading. I have not made it past this grey background and chromed apple logo.

I guess I will double check the guides again. Will try one last time, I do not like having to install w7 everytime this fails.
