pts211
Hello, I am once again trying to install OSX on one of my machines, this time on an Alienware m11x laptop. I have searched for an installation guide for this machine but not had any luck finding much. I have tried two different OSX releases, iPC and a hazard release but have been getting the same problem which I haven't seen before. When I try to load the installation it immediately reboots when it tries to load the OSX install environment. When doing a verbose view it comes and goes to fast to read and just reboots. My specs are: Core i7 640UM 4gig DDR3 Geforce 335m 500gig 7200rpm HD Any help someone can give would be very much appreciated. Thanks! -Paul S

pts211
Try typing "busratio=9 -v" at boot. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=218539 So I've tried that and that worked! I was able to get into the installation using my iPC disk. Now I would like to proceed and install however I don't know what options to check in the install for my hardware and such. Does anyone know or perhaps know how I find out what I need to use?
