Stuck at bootloader after using hibernation (deepsleep widget)

I recently tried the deep sleep widget to try hibernation but it did not work. Now I can't seem to boot into OSX at all. When I turn my laptop back on it just sticks at the bootloader. Is there a flag or command that forces a fresh boot rather than from hibernation? This is all that displays before it freezes:

Loaded HFS+ file: [system/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist]

Dell XPS M1330

Snow Leopard 10.6.4

bootloader = ASEREBLN 1.1.8
