hi i have a sony vaio VPC-F11S1E

Motherboard: Intel® PM55 Express Chipset

Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-720QM @ 1,60 GHz

Ram: 6 GB DDR3 SDRAM

Graphic: 1 GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 330M GPU

Sound: Realtek High definition Audio

Wireless: Intel Centrino Advanced-N-6200 AGN

i a newbie in the hackintosh world and im amazed about the thought about having os x on my laptop.

but i'm not sure which version i should take for my system.

i tried the iatkos s3 v2 but when select f8 and press the iatkos s3 v2 text is running down the screen and i see the apple logo for a second and then the laptop shuts down and reboots, i also tried to -v and then iaktos but i had the same result

i also tried leo4all v3 but the resolution cant be changed it is set to 1024x768, but thats not so bad.

my problem is that the sound and my wireless isnt working.

After i installed leo4all i wasnt able to reboot windows 7, i tried to fix it with the repair cd but it didnt work.

So i installed win 7 again.

Is there a way to prevent that i have to reinstall win 7?

Can somebody tell me which version is the best for my system?

thx scratch

Try again with iATKOS S3, but boot with: -v cpus=1 busratio=12

You should be able to fix Windows 7 with the repair cd.

Did you try bootrec/FixMbr ?

P.S. Congratulations for your very accurate description of your problem, with all the necessary info.

thx Alessandro17 for the quick and good reply

i could install it with -v cpus=1 busratio=12

the installation was successful.

but when i restart i see the apple logo for maybe 30 seconds and the i get a error message saying:

"please restart the computer. hold down the power button until the computer shuts down"

in 4 languages

maybe i did something wrong in the customize section.

Bootloader: chameleon v2 rc4

bootloader options: Graphics enabler

drivers sata/ide: ahci sata

ps/2: Voodoo PS/2

cpu power managment: EVO Speedstep

laptop hardware: battery, cardreader, tsc sync

network: wireless atheros

is this any good? i got this from a youtube video

does anyone know what to do now?

The answer should be very simple. Unfortunately you need to keep booting with cpus=1 busratio=12

But if you update to 10.6.4 and install the legacy kernel, you shouldn't need that any longer:

Try and let me know how it goes.

Important. Delete SleepEnabler before updating.

i have the same problem...but after installation when i restart i see the screen with the apple that loads... after a few minutes restart the installation screen

my customize section is

bootloader:

chameleon v2 (now i can try with previous version 1.x, i dont remeber this x)

kernel:

vanilla

ideneb x86 essential patches:

appledecrypt

disabler

dsdt patcher

timemachine fix

openhaltrestart

ps/2 drivers

systemprofiler fix

drivers:

audio --> voodoohda

network

ethernet --> realtek --> rtk8139

anyway i tried different customization but no positive response

i also can not activate my windows 7 partition: there is any command to put in iDeneb boot (after the F8) to activate the partition
