Hey all,

I have been reading these forums for several years, finally decided to join when I started becoming a bit more confident in what I was doing with these systems. Seems like I have come to a bit of a "bump" in the road. So I got this awesome netbook the other day...1201n...this thing is awesome! I was able to follow the installation guide and get this thing up and running with SNOW...I was then able to get this thing to triple boot, SNOW, WIN7, UBUNTU 10.04...have been having an awesome time with it. Anyway, I have just recently installed Logic Pro 9 and trying to use mainstage (main reason for getting this thing...playing gigs) Anyway, I installed my usb audio interface (Alesis Multimix 8 USB) and I was able to get Logic to recognize it. I then tried to open Mainstage and I received an error message (Mainstage: selected driver not found -10202). So I was thinking it had to be the Alesis since the thing is USB1.1 and is old. So I tried something else and still nothing. Could it be the VoodooHDA kext? Anyway, I was then thinking that it had something to do with the com.apple.mainstage.plist. I opened it with plist pro and I tried editing certain values to try and get this thing to recognize the Alesis or the VoodooHDA...Nothing. Anyway, I was hoping that maybe someone else has come across this issue and could help me out. I was about to try and install Leopard 10.5.8 to see if it was Snow Leopard that was causing the issue. I am currently in the process of reinstalling Snow without the VoodooHDA fix to see if that will change anything. BTW...does anyone know the easiest way of installing 10.5.8 on this machine?

Thanks for the help...I'm sure I forgot plenty of things to ask.
