LucidFlow
Hi all, I tried an install of Mac OS X 10.6.3 on my Dell Mini 10v (Inspiron 1011) after getting a hold of some empty CDs and a copy of Mac OS X 10.6.3 retail. Downloaded and burned EmpireEFI_1085.iso (not the legacy one) to a CD. Restarted, set my BIOS to boot from CD/DVD and saved. Booted from CD, got the Empire EFI screen, popped out the CD and in went the Mac OS DVD. Waited a few seconds, pressed F5 and it saw the Mac OS X Install Disk. Pressed enter and waited. Then I got some messages: ACPI Table not found: DSDT.aml Starting Darwin x86 Press any key to continue... Pressed the "any" key but the system rebooted and proceeded to load Windows instead of continuing to the installer. What am I doing wrong? I am using BIOS version A06 with: USB BIOS Legacy Support: Enabled USB Wake Support: Disabled Bluetooth: Disabled I tried the legacy version of the Empire EFI disk but that gave me: Patched DMI table No DSDT replacement found. Leaving ACPI data as is Starting Darwin x86 Press any key to continue... Booted up with -x -v but no dice. I've Googled this for hours on end with no result, that's why I'm posting here. I read somewhere (also at Tonymac's guide) that I need to change first in my BIOS SATA = AHCI ACPI = 1.0 but nowhere in my BIOS did I see anything related to changing those settings. I have BIOS A06. It seems my BIOS does not support AHCI or something along those lines, could that be the problem? Using ##### I got the following when booting with -x -v: [WARNING] /Extra/DSDT.aml not found And then it halts before it gets to the installation. I'm really wondering what to do next? I've even tried NetbookCD without any luck. Here are my specs: Dell Inspiron 1011 (Mini10v) Intel Atom N270 CPU @ 1600 MHz Motherboard Chipset: i945GSE Video Adapter: Mobile Intel® 945 Express Chipset Family (256 MB) Audio Adapter: Realtek ALC272 Network Adapter: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller If you need any other specs just ask. I'm a real n00b at all of this so if I say something stupid just ignore it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
