dray_xclsuive Posted August 24, 2010 Share Posted August 24, 2010 Hello everyone i have a problem with ipc universal 10.5.8 . Tried 2 others and the dont work in safe mode after install. First problem : On install on my pc it freezes at grey screen.( only way to get past that is to boot setup in safe mode ). Second problem : I install all drivers/patchs for my board in setup then after setup is installed i reboot with -f ( tried it without ) and i still i get a light blue screen on start up. I have been trying for 3weeks and i have had no luck. any help? I read on forums that is is the graphics card but i have tried the 3 below with no look AMD 9200 Quad core Asus Nf6-glan (not Nf6g-glan) 8gb ram Ati x300 Pci Ex / I have x1300 pci ex / ASUSTEK EN7300GS Nvidia M-Audio omi 800 Thanks Dray Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Is there a reason you are using an older version of Leopard and not a newer version of Snow Leopard? Not that it's a big deal, but you might have better luck with a newer disc; more than likely it will have newer packages/fixes that might give you better support. geiman Posted August 24, 2010 Share Posted August 24, 2010 honestly I don't know.. I have used a "pre-made" version of OS X with all the patches and what not in a very long time. Now, I restore a Snow Leopard dvd to a thumdrive, and add whatever patches/drivers/etc.. to the EFI partition on that drive and go from there. Making you own custom boot disc is a little harder but if done right you end up with much better support. Read around on this forum, its hard not to pick up the details.
